Common questions

Finding an adviser — your questions answered

How do I find a good equity release adviser near me?

Look for someone who is qualified in later-life lending, authorised by the FCA and a member of the Equity Release Council. Whole-of-market advisers can compare plans across the market rather than pushing one lender's product.

Do you offer home visits?

Yes. I'm based in the North of England but cover the whole of the UK. Many clients prefer a face-to-face chat at home — video call is equally welcome if that suits you better.

Is the first meeting really free?

Yes. Your first consultation is free and without obligation. If you decide to proceed, the maximum fee is £1,695 payable on completion.

Will you pressure me to take equity release?

No. If equity release isn't right for you, I'll tell you. My job is to give you clear information so you can make the decision that works for you and your family.
